Convenient processing and repair
Plastic Molds are quite complex parts. During the process, they often encounter complex and special shapes that are difficult to machine and difficult to repair. For these structures, the mold insert can be used to reduce the difficulty of processing and maintenance.
Easy to mold and demould
If the product has deep ribs or other structures that are not easily formed, these structures are liable to cause defects such as insufficient shot, burnt, and joints during molding. The detachable insert can effectively solve this problem, and the gap around the mold insert can not only facilitate the venting during molding, but also prevent the vacuum sticking phenomenon that may occur when the product is demolded.
Increase mold strength
When there is a small area to be broken (or broken) on a molded part such as a mold or a slider, in order to increase the strength of the mold and improve the life of the mold, the inserted (or broken) portion can be broken into inserts, with better material substitution.
Save materials and reduce costs
When forming parts such as mold cores or sliders, when the shape of the parts is much higher than other surfaces, or when it is not suitable for processing, the mold inserts can be removed to save materials and reduce processing costs. Otherwise, the size will increase during processing and the processing time will be increased, and the cost will be a big waste.
