1. Injection mould with single parting surface

When the mould is opened, the core and cavity are separated, thereby taking out the plastic part, which is called a single parting surface mould, also named two-plate mould. It is the simplest and most basic form of injection mould. It can be designed as single cavity and multi-cavity according to requirements. It is the most widely used injection mould type.

2. Injection mould with double parting surfaces

The injection mould has two parting surfaces. Compared with single-part surface injection mould, it adds a partially movable intermediate plate (also called o movable gate plate) in the cavity portion. It is equipped with gates, runners and other parts and components required for the mould, so it is also called three-plate mould (moving template, intermediate plate, fixed plate), which is commonly used for point gate feeding single-cavity or multi-cavity injection mould. When the mold is opened, the intermediate plate is separated from the fixed plate by a fixed distance on the fixed-column guide column, which facilitates the removal of the pouring system aggregate between the two templates. This type injection mold has a complicated structure, high manufacturing cost, and difficult processing of parts, and is generally not used for molding large or large plastic products.

3. Injection mould with lateral splitting and core pulling mechanism

When the plastic part has side holes or undercuts, it can be formed by a laterally movable core or slider. After injection molding, the movable mold first moves down a part of the distance, and then the inclined section of the bending pin fixed on the fixed template forces the slider to move outward, and the push rod of the demolding mechanism pushes the pusher plate to make the plastic part from the core take off.

4. Injection mould with movable molded parts

Due to the special structure of the plastic parts, it is required to set movable molding parts such as movable punches, movable die, movable inserts, movable thread cores or rings, etc., which can be used during demolding. The plastic parts are removed from the mold together and then separated from the plastic part.

5. Injection mould with thread auto dropping

For threaded plastic parts, when automatic demoulding is required, a rotatable thread core or ring can be placed on the mould, and the thread can be driven by the mould opening action or the rotating mechanism of the injection molding machine or by setting a special transmission. The core or threaded ring rotates to release the plastic part.

6. Injection mould without runners

The no-runner injection mold refers to the method of adiabatic heating for runners. The plastic between the mould cavity and injection molding machine nozzle is kept in a molten state, the mould is not poured when the part is taken out. The former is called adiabatic runner injection mold, and the latter is called hot runner injection mold.

7. Injection mould with right angle

Right-angle injection moulds are only suitable for angle injection molding machines. Unlike other injection moulds, the direction of the feeding is perpendicular to the direction of the mould opening and closing. Its main runner is located on both sides of the moving and fixed mold parting surface, and its cross-sectional area is usually constant, which is different from the moulds used in other injection molding machines. The end of the main runner can set a replacebale insert to prevent the worn and deformation between the injection molding machine nozzles and the inlet end of the main flow path.

8. Injection mould with demoulding mechanism on fixed plate

In most injection molds, the demolding device is mounted on the side of the movable mold, which is advantageous for the ejection device in the opening and closing system of the injection molding machine. In actual production, since some plastic parts are limited by the shape, it is better to leave the plastic parts on the side of the fixed plate, so that the plastic parts are taken out from the mould, and the mould release mechanism must be set on the fixed mould side.
